If you’ve a Germanic hankering for foaming steins and bar staff in dirndl, you don’t have to take yourself off to Munich this autumn – we’re having the party of the year.
The Germans know how to beer. If you’ve a Germanic hankering for foaming steins and bar staff in dirndl, you don’t have to take yourself off to Munich this autumn. Modelled on the world famous beer festival of Bavaria, the North Laine Brewhouse holds its own Oktoberfest every year.
As the home of the Laine Brewery, which visitors can see in action behind the bar throughout the day, the North Laine is never short of beer to keep Oktoberfest revellers topped up.
In 2015 the festival runs from Friday 25th – Saturday 26th September. This year’s beer festival will showcase 6 local breweries and brewers, as well as more sauerkraut and bratwurst than you can fit in your face, along with thigh-slappingly surprising amounts of lederhosen.
Admission is free so grab a big wooden table, fill your stein and get your oompah on. Traditional Oktoberfest costume is not essential but it is very funny.
